Wahid Ben Fraj is a senior tourism professional and Principal Engineer at the Tunisian National Tourist Office (ONTT), with more than two decades of experience in tourism development, destination management, and investment project oversight. Since 2019, he has served as Regional Commissioner of Tourism for Nabeul–Hammamet, one of Tunisia’s most prominent tourism destinations and the heart of the Cap Bon peninsula.
Throughout his career, Wahid has played a key role in supporting the sustainable development of Tunisia’s tourism sector. His extensive experience includes leading regional tourism initiatives in Nabeul–Hammamet, Tozeur, Gafsa, and Djerba, where he oversaw tourism development projects, investment monitoring, and stakeholder coordination.
A strong advocate for regional development and destination excellence, he combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of Tunisian destinations. His participation in major international tourism events and forums has further strengthened Tunisia’s visibility on the global stage.
As an Ambassador for the Cap Bon World Region of Gastronomy 2028, Wahid Ben Fraj supports the promotion of the region’s rich culinary heritage, local products, and cultural identity, contributing to the international recognition of Cap Bon as a leading gastronomic destination.
